Keep Voice Separate
Don’t mix your voice and data networks. If you integrate your voice network into your data network, you may be asking for more problems. Fixing a VOIP problem may require downtime for your data network – or vice versa. Use a dedicated virtual LAN and dedicated WAN circuits for your VOIP system. You should only connect the necessary IP devices to the VOIP network to prevent unwanted headaches for everyone.
