Regional Forwarding with VOIP
Many larger companies are consolidating office staff from several remote offices into one central or regional location. The problem has been how to accomplish this without losing “reception” at the remote offices. VOIP provides the answer – regional forwarding.
The regional forwarding feature transfers callers to a regional receptionist using the IP network (so there are no toll charges for the caller or the company). It also allows the receptionist to transfer the caller to the appropriate support people to handle problems or questions, if necessary – even if the transfer is outside of the region. VOIP provides this feature without additional per-call fees.
