Monitor and Test the VOIP Software
In simplest terms, your LAN administrator wants to know how the VOIP transmissions compare against your bandwidth limitations and against the transmissions of your other enterprise applications. Your security professional wants to make sure the software can encrypt the voice packets correctly. You’ll need to pick the right network analysis tools for the job – and you should be able to use them again and again to find and repair any problems with the software.
